ඊ.බී. චන්නව මා හඳනාගන්නේ 1994 වසරේදීයි එවකට මම පාසල් ශිෂ්‍යයෙක්, සෑම පාසල් ක්‍රීඩකයෙකුම සිහින මැව්වෙ, චන්න වගේ පාපන්දු ක්‍රීඩකයෙකු වෙන්න.  ඔහු මුලින්ම ජාතික තලයට පිවිසෙන්නේ, වයස 18 න් පහළ ශ්‍රී ලංකා කණ්ඩායම නියෝජනය කරමින් ඉන්දියාවේ පැවැති තරගාවලියකට සහභාගීවෙමින්, ඔහු ගාල්ල යූත් ගාල්ල යුනයිටඩ් ක්‍රීඩා සමාජ දෙකම විටින් විට නියෝජනය කල අතරම, ඔල්ඩ් ජෝස් ( මරදාන ආදි ශාන්ත ජෝසප් ) කණ්ඩායම නියෝජනය කලා. පාසල් සමයේම දක්ෂතා ගොන්නක් එක්ක පීදුනු මෙම ක්‍රීඩකයා ප්‍රධාන පෙලේ තරග වලට පිවිසුනේ   , පෙටා යුනයිටඩ් හා වික්ටර් ක්‍රීඩා සමාජ වලින්.  ජාතික කණ්ඩායම වසර 15 කට අධික කාලයක් නියෝජනය කරපු චන්න මෙරට ඇති බොහෝ ක්‍රීඩා සමාජ වල ප්‍රධාන සාමාජිකයෙක් වුණා. ඒ වගේම මාලදිවයින, ඉන්දියාව, බංග්ලාදේශය වගේ රටවලත් ක්‍රීඩා සමාජ තරගවලට ක්‍රීඩා කරපු චන්න දැන් ඉන්නේ ගාල්ල නගර සභාවෙ සුලු සේවකයෙකු විදියට ලු..  දැනටත් කලුතර බ්ලූස්ටාර් කණ්ඩායමේ සාමාජිකයෙකු වන චන්නට මෙහෙම වුනේ ඇයි ?  ඔහු  අතීතයෙන්, වර්තමානයට හෝ අනාගතයට අයෝජනයක් කර ගෙන නැත. ඉහළ සාමාජ තත්වයක් සකසා ගැනීමේ හැකියාව මෙන්ම අත්දැකීම්...

ශ්‍රී ලංකාව නියෝජනය කරමින් ඔළිම්පික් ක්‍රීඩා උළෙලට මෙවර ක්‍රීඩකයන් හත් දෙනෙකු හා ක්‍රීඩිකාවන් දෙදෙනෙකු සහභාගීවේ. බ්‍රසීලයේ රියෝද ජනයිරෝ නුවර පැවැත්වෙන ක්‍රීඩා උළෙල අනිද්දා (6) මෙරට වේලාවෙන් පෙරවරු 4.00 ට නිළ වශයෙන් ආරම්භ වීමට නියමිතය. ශ්‍රී ලංකා කණ්ඩායමේ 7 දෙනෙකු මෙරටින් පසුගිය සඳුදා බ්‍රසීලය බලා ගමන් ගත් අතර, ඔවුන් ඊයේ (3) මෙරට වේලාවෙන් පෙරවරු 9ට පමණ බ්‍රසීලයට ලඟා වී ඇත. ගුවන් යානා තුනක පැය 38 කට අධික කාලයක් ඒ සඳහා ඔවුන් ගතකර ඇත. මේ දිනවල රියෝ නුවර කාළගුණය සෙල්සියස් අංශක 22ක් පමණ වන බව වාර්තා වන අතර, එය ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ක්‍රීඩක ක්‍රීඩිකාවන්ට අභියෝගයක් වනු ඇත. ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රීඩක ක්‍රීඩිකාවන් අතරින් කිමිකෝ රහීම් පසුපස ආර පිහිණුම් ඉසව්වෙන්, ලබන 7 වැනි දා පළමු වැන්නා ලෙස තරග බිමට පිවිසීමට නියමිතයි. ඇයගේ  මූලික වටයේ තරගය මෙරට වේලාවෙන් රාත්‍රී 9ට පමණ ආරම්භ වීමට නියමිතයි. ශ්‍රී ලංකා ක්‍රීඩක ක්‍රීඩිකාවන් තරග බිමට පිවිසෙන කාල සටහන. කිමිකෝ රහීම් - පසුපස ආර 100 - 7 වැනි දා - පැය  21.30 (මූලික වටය)  සුදේෂ් පීරිස් - බර ඉසිලීම - 62 කිලෝ - 8 වැනි දා - පැය 18.30 (අවසන්)...

10/07/2016: අද ඔහු සහභාගීවූ සුදුසුකම් ලබා ගැනීමේ තරගයේදී උපරිම උත්සාහයක ඔහු යෙදුන බවට වෙනත් උදාහරණ අවශ්‍ය නොවේ. ඔහු ඒ වෙනුවෙන් කෙතරම් කැප වී ඇද්ද යන්නද එහිදී දැකගත හැකි විය. ඔහුගේ ඔලිම්පික් ගමන වැලකුනේ ඔහුට 2.29 තරණය කිරීම නොහැකි වූ නිසා නොවේ. ඔහුට ඊට අවශ්‍යවූ අවස්ථා නොලුබුණු නිසාවෙනි. අද ඔහුට එය කල නොහැකි විය. නමුත් මෙවැනිම අවස්ථා හතක් අටක් පසුගිය කාලයේදී ලබා දී තිබුනේ නම් ඔහුට අද වනතෙක් සිටීමට සිදුනොවනු අනුමානය. අද ඔහුගේ පිමි දෙකක් වලකාල ූයේ පාදයේ බත් කෙන්ඩ හා විලුඹයි.එම තාක්ෂණික වරද නිවැරදි කරගැනීමට උපදෙස් දීමට හො කිසිවෙකු නොවුවද ඔහු තනිව සටන් වැදින. ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේ සිටි සියලු දෙනා මංජුල වෙනුවෙන් ඔල්වරසන් දෙමින් ඔහුගේ උත්සාහයට උදව් කලේය. කෙසේ වෙතත් ඔහුගේ උත්සාහය හා මහන්සිය වසර 4කට කල් දමමින් යතාර්තය ජයග්‍රහණය කලේය. මංජුල මෑත ඉතිහාසයේ වාර්තා කල උපරිම දක්ෂතාවද අද දැක්වූ 2.25 දක්ෂතාව සැලකේ. බළධාරීන් හා නිළධාරීන් ක්‍රීඩක ක්‍රීඩිකාවන් ගැන යොදවන අවධානය අද දින ශබ්ධ විකාශන යන්ත්‍ර භාවිත කල ආකාරයෙන්ම නිරීක්ෂණය කල හැකිවිය. ජාතික හො ජාත්‍යන්තර තරගාවලියකදී ශබ්ද විකාශන යන්ත්‍ර භාවිත කරනු...

Majority mistaken  Queens Baton relay of Commonwealth Games  as another torch relay, Coz the Baton holding by runners vertically to symbolize the Olympic Torch. The baton contains the Queen's hand-written message to the Commonwealth and will visit all 70 competing nations and territories over the next 288 days this year. The first baton bearer this years relay was Alan Wells, the Scottish sprinter who won gold in the men's 100m at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. The Queen entrusts the baton to the first relay runner. At the Opening Ceremony of the Games, the final relay runner hands the baton back to the Queen or her representative, who reads the message aloud to officially open the Games. This is an short description about the #Sanga's controversy in my view. The topic taken on to the desk after the dramatic win of Kandurata team in Super 4s T20. It has held in a period of 7 days in Colombo to choose a domestic winner to participate in Champion League T20's. Lahiru Thirimanne one of Sri Lanka's promising youngster lead his team to secure a slot at #CT20. What is CLT20 ?  It was made by Indians to imitate Europeans Soccer Champions league after IPL. I'v had an unforgettable experience in life during the World Twenty 20 2012 during August of this year 2012.  It was truly an unexpected opportunity of life time, the accreditation to cover one of largest sporting event of the world as a International Cricket council's accredited Cricket journalist. Follow @nMeeDiN The applications for the opportunity was rejected soon after the process and it was a heart breaking situation for the whole crew. However it was fixed at last moment to open wings to take part in event.
